A STORY IN STONE by Jon Crane -- Fine Art Watercolors melody just outside BuckhornJon Crane painted this scene in 2004 Jay Torgerson, a Custer State Park employee, who was killed while goose hunting. His mother Carol worked in the gallery for Jon and Gail. A memorial was set up for Jay to support projects in the park, and Jon painted A Story In Stone to help raise money for his memorial. Jon used the Norbeck Visitor Center for A Story in Stone because Jay had worked on its renovation.
