Rare Staffordshire fairy and elves plate. "The Christmas Carol". velvet drawstring glass beadsWilliam Brownfield, Staffordshire, England antique from around 1880. This is a rare and atmospheric fairy transferware porcelain plate, printed in blue and unusually with gold gilding on the picture. It seems to be hand painted. It's from a series that was made decorated with images of elves, gnomes and fairies. Each of the series was titled this one is "A Christmas Carol" and features hollies and berries. Being in classic blue and white, we think it
