全器采用80年代原矿老紫泥制成，泥质古穆凝重，发色深沉温润。壶身施以描金点缀，典雅而不张扬，尽显纪念壶的仪式感与尊贵气质。整器结构严谨，工艺精细，壶底钤有“伟群设计”款识，收藏价值显著。

据『阳羡砂壶图考』记载潘仕成祖籍福建，世居广州，是晚清享誉朝野的官商巨富，其先祖以盐商起家，他继承家业后继续经营盐务，以至洋务，成为广州十三行的巨商，是广州近代史上的重要人物。
